1 - Find out when your contract expires 📆

  • Contact your current provider or check your contract.
  • Find out when your contract expires and what notice you need to give to leave.
  • Try and plan ahead as much as you can before this date.

2 - Order your SMARTY SIM 👍

  • Do this a few weeks in advance if you can.  
  • You can hold on to your SIM without activating for up to six months after ordering.

3 - Contact your current provider 📞

  • Do this a couple of weeks before your contract is due to expire.
  • Tell them you will be leaving.
  • Request a PAC code if you want to transfer your number to us. Your PAC code will be valid for 30 days from the date you request it - make a note of this date!
  • Get them to unlock your phone from their network - they will do this for you.

4 - Activate your SIM 📱

  • You can do this before your current contract expires.
  • Login and activate your SMARTY SIM.
  • You need to do this before you can transfer your number.
  • Activating is simple and should take a couple of minutes. 

5 - Transfer your number (also known as Porting) 📲

  • Transferring is the final step in switching.
  • Try and do this a week before your PAC code expires, just in case.
  • You do this online in your SMARTY dashboard.
  • This can take a couple of days, so don’t leave it til the last minute.
  • Requests can take up to 2 business days to process. 

6 - You’re done! Welcome to SMARTY! 👏📱🎉
