If you're having issues sending SMS messages, then you may need to change one of the settings on your phone.

Please follow the steps below to check that you've got the right text service centre number stored on your device.

If you have an iPhone:

1. Please dial *#5005*7672# on your iPhone.

2. You’ll see your current text service centre number.
It should be: +447782000800.

3. If the number is different, please enter **5005*7672*447782000800* on the keypad and tap Call.

4. A message should appear saying: Setting succeeded, Service Address, No Address.

5. Tap Dismiss, then restart your iPhone. After restarting, repeat step 1 to make sure the correct number is now showing.

6. Once confirmed, please send a test text message to yourself.

If you have an Android device:

  1. Start up the SMS app, select Menu and go to Settings.

  2. Scroll down and choose Message Centre.

  3. Check the number is correct – it should be +447782000800.

  4. If it isn’t, edit the number, then restart your phone and check that everything is stored okay.
