How do I add or remove members from my Group?

As a Group Owner, you can add or remove members at any time.

How to add a member 🤝

  1. Go to Dashboard → Menu → My Group plan

  2. Click + Add another SIM.

  3. You’ll then see options depending on your plan:

    • Mix & Match: send a digital invite to an existing SMARTY user or someone new so they can sign up and order their own SIM

    • Everyone Unlimited: you can send an invite link or order a SIM straight to their door for them to activate once it arrives.

  4. Review and confirm the T&Cs and make the payment.

  5. That’s it! Once the new Member accepts their invite or activates their SIM, they’ll automatically be added to your Group plan. You’ll also get an email confirmation when this happens.


How to remove a member 👋

  1. Go to Dashboard → Menu → My Group plan

  2. Find the Member and click Remove Member (only standard Members can be removed; Nickname SIMs can’t)

  3. Member will get an email with the next steps:

    • Everyone Unlimited: A PAC is automatically generated so they can choose to leave SMARTY or set up a standalone account. Everyone Unlimited members must take action, as their account and number will terminate automatically after 40 days if they do not use their PAC or convert to a standalone account.

    • Mix & Match: Member sets up their own payment details to continue their plan

  4. Tell your Member to follow the instructions in their email so they can manage their account or plan.


FAQs

Is there a limit on how many Members can be in a Group?

Yes - a Group consists of a total of 8: 1 Group Owner and up to 7 members.

As a Group owner, if I add a member to my Everyone Unlimited plan, when do their allowances start?

Within 2 hours of them accepting their invite or activating their SIM.

I'm on the Everyone Unlimited plan and sent a new Member a SIM, when will it arrive?

Who can be added to a Group?

Existing SMARTY users that are not already part of a Group or new members aged 13+ (or with parental/guardian permission).

Can a Member join a new Group or be re-added to an old Group they were part of?

Yes! Once a Member’s account is standalone and not part of any Group, they’re free to join a new Group or re-join an old one at any time, all they need is an invite from the Group Owner.

What happens to any existing plan promotions, discounts or offers when someone joins a Group?

  • Everyone Unlimited: any existing promotions or discounts will no longer apply. The plan is set at ÂŁ20 for the Owner and ÂŁ15 per Member, and it is not eligible for any other offers.

  • Mix & Match: if the Owner or Member is on a direct offer from our website (not via affiliates), they can still benefit from it plus the 10% Group discount. Any eligible discounts or promotions are added on top of the 10% off, so you can save even more. Always check the offer’s T&Cs for eligibility.
