Want multiple SMARTY SIMs on the same email? No problem – we’ve got you covered.

If you’re a single user and want an extra SIM for your tablet, mobile Wi-Fi device, or for a child/underage user, you can set up a Nickname member when buying an additional plan.

Simply select ‘Myself or a child under 16’ when adding the new SIM.

Quick facts about Nickname SIMs 👇

  • They’re managed entirely through the Group Owner’s account – no separate dashboard needed.

  • They can’t become a standalone SMARTY account, so the only way out is to either terminate the plan or port the number elsewhere.

  • Group ownership can’t be transferred from the Owner to a Member.

  • Nickname SIMs are a simple way to add extra devices or accounts for under-16s under one Group – hassle-free and easy to manage.

FAQ's

What’s the difference between a Standard Member and a Nickname Member?

A Standard Member has their own login and dashboard where they can manage certain parts of their account, while a Nickname Member is fully managed by the Group Owner and doesn’t get a separate login.

Can a Nickname SIM become a standalone SMARTY account?

No – a Nickname SIM stays linked to the Group Owner’s account and can’t be switched into a standalone account.

It’s worth keeping in mind for the future – for example, if you set up a Nickname SIM for your child (or anyone under 16), once they’re older and want their own login and dashboard, they won’t be able to leave the Group or convert to a Standard Member.

The only way is to port the number out and then set up a brand-new SMARTY account in their own name.

Can I have multiple Nickname SIMs and use the same email?

Yes! There’s no limit on how many Nickname Members vs Standard Members you can have – just a maximum of 8 accounts in total (including the Owner).

That’s one of the perks – perfect for managing multiple devices or family members under one account and email.
