If you’re an existing SMARTY customer, you can swap your physical SIM for an eSIM today. New customers and Group owners will be able to order an eSIM directly soon. In the meantime, you can still activate one by doing a SIM swap.
What is an eSIM? 📱
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your device. There's no need to insert a physical card.
It’s quick and easy to set up.
Most newer smartphones, tablets and laptops support eSIM. Some older devices might not.
How do I get an eSIM? 💌
Before requesting an eSIM, it's a good idea to make sure your device supports eSIM. You can easily check:
Dial *#06# on your phone. If you see an EID number, your device supports eSIM.
You can also check in your device settings:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs

Go to Settings > General > About and look for an EID field
If you're still unsure, we recommend checking directly with your device manufacturer or referring to their support site.
Once you’ve confirmed your device is eSIM compatible, you’re ready to request your eSIM.

Order a regular SMARTY SIM. You can order here.
Once your SIM has been dispatched, you’ll see the option to activate it in your SMARTY dashboard, and at that point you can immediately request a SIM swap to eSIM, if available.
We're working on making it possible to get an eSIM straight away when you join. It's not quite ready yet, but it will be soon.
What You’ll Receive When You Order an eSIM 📨
Once you’ve requested your eSIM, you’ll get an email from SMARTY with all the details you need to get started.
Here’s what you’ll find in the email:
A scannable QR code – this is the easiest way to add your eSIM. Just scan it with your phone to begin the setup.
An activation code – this matches the QR code and can be used if you need to activate your eSIM manually.
A SM-DP+ address – mainly for iPhone users during setup.
🔐 A confirmation code – For security, you’ll be asked to enter a 4-digit PIN when setting up your eSIM. You can find this in your SMARTY dashboard. If it doesn’t appear right away, try logging out and back in.
⚠️ Important: This is not the same as the confirmation code in your email with the QR code. Make sure you're using the 4-digit PIN from your dashboard during setup.
A one-tap button for iPhone users – This lets you add your eSIM straight away without scanning or entering codes.
