1️⃣ How can I get an eSIM?
You can request an eSIM from the Replacement SIM section of your SMARTY dashboard.
We’re currently working on a smoother sign-up journey so new customers can get an eSIM straight away. In the meantime, new customers who want an eSIM can find out more here.
2️⃣ What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital version of a SIM card. Instead of inserting a physical SIM, you download it using a QR code.
To activate it:
Scan the QR code we emailed you
Enter the 4-digit confirmation code from your SMARTY dashboard
3️⃣ How long does it take for my eSIM to activate?
It should activate instantly after you scan the QR code and enter your confirmation code. But in some cases, it might take up to 2 hours.

6️⃣ Can I use an eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?
Yes, if your device supports dual SIM, you can use both. Benefits include:
📞 Two numbers or plans on one phone
📶 Two networks if your phone is unlocked
🌍 Local data plans when travelling
We recommend checking your device manufacturer’s website for specific setup instructions.
7️⃣ Do SMARTY eSIMs support 5G?
Yes! If your device is 5G-ready, SMARTY eSIMs will support 5G. 🚀
8️⃣ What if I can’t scan the QR code or didn’t receive it?
If you didn’t get your email with the QR code or confirmation code:
📥 Check your spam, junk or promotions folders
📨 Make sure your registered email is up to date in your SMARTY dashboard
🔁 You can request a new eSIM to be sent to your updated email

9️⃣ What is an eSIM QR code?
When you request an eSIM, we’ll send you an email with:
A QR code to scan with your phone camera 📷
An activation code (a long number) to use if scanning isn’t possible
🔟 What is the eSIM confirmation code?
It’s a 4-digit code found on your SMARTY dashboard. You’ll need it after scanning your QR code to complete activation. 🔐
1️⃣1️⃣ Can I swap from a physical SIM to an eSIM?
Yes. Log in to your SMARTY dashboard and request a replacement eSIM. 🔁
1️⃣2️⃣ Can I use my eSIM QR code more than once?
No, the QR code is single-use only. It will expire either:
⏳ After 60 days, or
🔓 Once you enter your confirmation code
Whichever comes first.
